Small Living Seat

Description

W11 x D12 x H23.5”

Made from Pine

With Lina Bo Bardi’s SESC Pompéia stool as precedent, the small living stool re-contextualizes the public library stool for modern living space. Through incremental dimensional iteration, the stool now offers multi-functions of seating, step stool, and storage, dictated by its orientation. Using only one plank of wood and standardized fixture, the redesign stays true to Bo Bardi’s vernacular, utilitarian, and user-centric approach.

Rebuilding Exchange is a retail experience on a mission...

Our nonprofit stores invite the community to discover an ever-changing inventory of incredibly reasonable, often surprising, and sometimes historical building materials and appliances.

In the process, you become part of a remarkable cycle of renewal. Rebuilding Exchange merchandise is made possible by our inclusive local workforce, trained in deconstruction, sales and logistics to keep good materials out of landfills and delivered to our stores, where you provide new homes and purpose. In this sustainability story, everyone wins.

We also make it fun. Our Evanston and Chicago stores offer a complete calendar of DIY workshops and salvage-infused experiences designed to inspire creativity, reuse, and community. Learn More
